Chiropractic treatment room — Dr Andrea Rohrbeck, Durban North

What I treat

Care that's built around you

Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, a recent injury, or simply want to move and feel better — I offer gentle, evidence-informed chiropractic care for every stage of life.

My approach

Every treatment plan starts with listening

No two patients are the same. Before I recommend any treatment I take the time to understand your history, your lifestyle, and your goals. My approach is thorough, gentle, and always focused on long-term results — not just short-term relief.

Most common condition

Back & Neck Pain

From lower back ache to a stiff, painful neck — these are the most common reasons people visit a chiropractor, and the conditions I treat most often. Using gentle, targeted spinal adjustments and soft-tissue work, I restore movement, reduce inflammation, and ease discomfort without drugs or surgery.

  • Acute and chronic lower back pain
  • Cervical (neck) stiffness and pain
  • Sciatica and referred leg pain
  • Disc-related conditions
  • Sacroiliac joint dysfunction
Often spine-related

Headaches & Migraines

Many headaches — including tension headaches and cervicogenic headaches — originate in the cervical spine. Rather than masking the pain with medication, chiropractic care addresses the root cause: joint restriction, muscle tension, and nerve irritation in the neck and upper back. Most patients notice a significant reduction in both frequency and intensity.

  • Tension headaches
  • Cervicogenic headaches
  • Migraine management support
  • Occipital neuralgia
  • Jaw (TMJ) related head pain
For active patients

Sports Injuries

Athletes put enormous demands on their bodies. Chiropractic care is highly effective for diagnosing and treating sports injuries — from acute sprains and strains to overuse conditions — without invasive procedures. I help you recover faster, restore full function, and reduce the risk of re-injury so you can get back to doing what you love.

  • Muscle strains and ligament sprains
  • Shoulder, knee and ankle injuries
  • Runner's knee and IT band syndrome
  • Rotator cuff conditions
  • Overuse and repetitive strain injuries
Modern life conditions

Posture & Workplace Pain

Hours at a desk, looking down at a phone, or working in awkward positions all take a toll on your spine and joints. I treat the full range of aches and pains associated with modern working life — and I'll give you practical advice on ergonomics, stretching, and movement habits to prevent the problem from coming back.

  • Desk-related neck and shoulder pain
  • Upper and mid-back tension
  • Text neck and forward head posture
  • Repetitive strain and RSI
  • Ergonomic assessment and advice
All ages welcome

Family & Paediatric Care

I've always focused on family practice — seeing every generation of a household, from newborns to grandparents. Chiropractic care is safe and effective at every stage of life. Whether it's a baby with feeding difficulties, a child with growing pains, a teenager with a sports injury, or a grandparent with arthritis, I tailor my approach to suit each patient's age and needs.

  • Infant and paediatric chiropractic
  • Growing pains and scoliosis screening
  • Pregnancy-related back and pelvic pain
  • Senior and geriatric care
  • Gentle techniques for all ages
Movement & recovery

Pilates-Informed Rehabilitation

As a certified Pilates instructor, I integrate Pilates-based rehabilitation principles into my treatment plans where appropriate. Core activation, spinal stability, and controlled movement are powerful tools for recovery and injury prevention. This whole-body approach helps patients not just recover from pain, but build the strength and awareness to stay well.

  • Core strengthening and stability
  • Post-injury rehabilitation exercises
  • Spinal stability programmes
  • Balance and flexibility work
  • Home exercise prescription
